December 12, 2007

Dearest Students, Parents, and Families,

I wish you a very safe, happy, and homely winter break. I will be traveling to Istanbul, Turkey and Karachi, Pakistan. Stanley Lambchop will be accompanying me on my journey. He has a special place in my travel pouch, which allows him to be safe while enjoying the trip. My digital camera is ready with fully charged batteries and extra memory, so I can take plenty of pictures to share with you. I hope that you will do the same with your Stanley during the holidays. I cannot wait to see what you guys do together over the holidays.

While I am on holiday, I will come across opportunities to practice the multiplication facts. Whenever I exchange currencies, I will have to multiply! I really hope that I have the multiplication facts memorized. Maybe you should practice them too. If you have facts from one through five memorized, then it will be easier for you to learn facts from six through nine.

Students, parents, and families, happy New Year in advance. I will be drumming in a desert in Dubai with my family and friends under the moon, stars, and open sky. I look forward to receiving you in the new year, 2008, when we return from holidays.

Sincerely,
Ms. Rashid
